Classes offered at the Salt Lake Center for Spiritual Living are certificated by United Centers for Spiritual Living. These classes provide a wonderful background into the Science of Mind philosophy, and create an opportunity to make lifelong friends. For those who choose, these classes create a path toward becoming a Professional Practitioner.

The Essential Ernest Holmes

This class delves into all of Ernest Holmes’ writing, feasting on his quiet, devotional writings as well as his impassioned, chalk-in-hand teachings to future leaders. His love of people and facility for seeing past their problems into the heart of their eternal being anticipated modern psychology while relating the human condition to a limitless ability to choose what to think and to feel.

Exploring Roots of Science of Mind

This class focuses on the historical roots in America of Ernest Holmes’ philosophy. Specific emphasis will be given to the works of Thomas Troward, Emma Curtis Hopkins, and Ralph Waldo Emerson. This is not, however, just a history class. Each of these people brought important insight into the philosophy developed by Ernest Holmes, so you will learn, in depth, the various aspects of this philosophy.

Ignite Your Life with Bible Wisdom

Jesus used parables to convey profound spiritual truths. These parables charge our spiritual journey with energy and our soul with light. Practical Mysticism

This class provides an environment in which you evoke your inner mystic, thus learning to live the mystical life in the world; to be "in the world bur not of it." The Mind-Body Connection continues to be the foundation of Spiritual Living, as well as a timely and popular topic. Visioning

This course is a walk through the powerful tool of Visioning. It includes the history of how visioning began in our movement with the inspiration of Dr. Michael Beckwith, offers weekly opportunities for visioning at different levels, from the individual to the community to the global, and explains the role of visioning in our Global Heart Model.

This is a practical class created to give you the opportunity to take a detailed look at the spiritual principles at work in your life. PRACTITIONER STUDIES

Practitioner Studies Year I “Living the Principles”

The first year of the Professional Practitioner Studies is devoted to advancing spiritual awareness, and expanding your understanding of your relation to the universe. It is designed to be whole and complete within itself, preparing you to live life more fully, whether or not you choose to continue with Practitioner II Studies, and to be licensed as a Professional Practitioner.
The year is divided into three terms of ten weeks each:
1. “How Life Gets to Be the Way It Is,” based on the Law of Cause and Effect
2.  “Living the Life of Choice,” based on the Creative Process in the Individual
3. “Living Life Fully,” devoted entirely to expansion of consciousness
Prerequisites: successful completion of the requirements listed elsewhere.

Practitioner Studies, Year 2

The purpose of the second year of Practitioner Studies is to graduate and license powerful practitioners who are skilled in the art and science of spiritual mind healing. They will be Teachers of Truth, and active, loyal and supporting members of the Salt Lake Center of Spiritual Living. Practitioners are role models for other spiritual seekers.
In the second year of study, focus changes from learning about yourself to learning how to help others understand their path of evolution, teaching them the way to “live a life of their choice,” and to “live life fully.”
The second year is divided into three terms:
1. Professional Skills and Responsibilities
2. Spiritual Healing
3. Dedication, Commitment and Service
In addition to successful completion of all previous classes, the Practitioner 2 student will meet with a panel of Practitioners and Ministers prior to enrollment.
At the end of this training, a national exam and formal panel must be completed before the Practitioner can be licensed.
Current Practitioners are also encouraged to audit the second year of Practitioner training from time to time.

Core Education

Courses listed below comprise the certificated education courses offered by the United Centers for Spiritual Living. As you move through these classes, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the Core Concepts of Science of Mind. You will be able to do Spiritual Mind Treatment for yourself and others, you will know where the principles come from, and you will have thoroughly explored healing and consciousness.
Successful completion of this course of study is required prior to enrolling in Practitioner training.
